I dont think thats whats going on here I am pretty sure he is concerned about her possibly being sexuialy assaulted with the way he reacted to her and her thinking "huh was that wording strange?"
with him already knowing how her mother acts and seeing the teacher be a creepy fuck I wouldn't put it past him being concerned about her [hell she hates the teacher for trying to do things to her and other students] not sure how aware he is of that though
