Mmhhh... I found this oneshot to be very good.

A little disclaimer; not every mc needs to "be a man" or something, it's fine to be bad at dating. It makes even more sense to be awkward during a tinder date when you believe in things like destined love.
Considering he had no prior experience too, it was bound not to work out.
I'm not shocked by the result and won't shame him for being weak, as it's ok not to be succesfull all the time.

The fact that this is a oneshot means it can't give us the satisfaction of a happy reunion, or whatever else people would have wanted to read. That wouldn't have been in line with the story's purpose anyway.

I understand people could get pissed by mc's romantic failure. However, they just can't appreciate this manga if they only stay fixated on the setback and don't try to see that he's gaining in maturity, which isn't suposed to be a bad thing.

I'm guessing people would prefer an idylic romcom where all is well, both protagonists are awkward at first and get together in the end like in a fairytale, but that's not even close to what happens in reality (said reality would differ depending on people's experiences, obviously). Romcoms like this always feel very forced or fake to read most of the time for me.

I like this type of story better, even if less elaborate, and that's probably exactly why: because there're less meaningless details that can and will, without fail, bore me to death.

9/10 because I liked it, otherwise it's a solid 8/10 from me.

I think I got your point, it made me rethink my thoughts about this manga, thanks
