Author-san should not have tried to justify the actions of the evil little shits. Sure, their fucked up youth may excuse some kind of bully behavior but not what they did. It is just really stupid at this point.

Mangaka got me in the first half ngl. I got my hopes high thinking the push to commit the sin would be interesting. But it was Kyou ex machina all along

Here are some select comments from Magazine Pocket translated by me.
Of note, several people noticed this backstory contradicts what was said in the beginning about Kuga and Kyou being the oldest friends in the group.

All of them had terrible home environments.
Feels like it would only be a matter of time even if Shigoku didn't intervene.

Weren't his parents the ones mentioning how they finally had a son?

Wasn't Kuga supposed to be Shigoku's oldest friend? Is the backstory being rewritten?

Compared to all the other ones he has the most logical reasoning.

I seriously couldn't give less of a shit about what happened to Aoki, but I'll never forget you're the guy who raped and killed my waifu Anna. I wish those mantis shrimp would have crawled not just up your asshole but your dick as well.

I see Giant (Doremon) on page 1

This one is on the more logical side. Maybe Anna-san knew about his circumstances.

Weren't Shigoku and Kuga the oldest pair of friends? Now he's the last friend Shigoku made.

The 6th sinner is gonna be Aoki.

So he was still a good kid when he gave Anna flowers... Not that I feel any sympathy for him now.

They're pretty much a product of their environment.

I thought he was the most far gone one but he turned out to be the most normal.
Not that this changes how I feel about the garbage human being he turned into.

I went back and re-read chapter 3 and it says Kuga was Shigoku's oldest friend. Did the backstory change?
Also, Anna said he used to be a sweet kid but with this story he would have already been brainwashed by Shigoku and beat Aoki by then.

Kyou-chan aside, these guys are all weird for being so easily swayed by a group of kids they don't even know that well.

Hey!
Don't treat the glasses kid like that!
You're gonna make me remember Kitami! (cries)

Your personalities aside, you could have found some compromise with your and Aoki's hobbies.
Even just talking about the manga you were reading would have sufficed.

ORQeePe.png

Crazy how in this world neither the police nor child protective services seem to function.

dS8MFSr.png

If he hadn't met Shigoku, maybe Kuga could have grown into a fine Giant (Doraemon)

dS0RtaV.png

Were all these elementary kids just infatuated by Kyou-chan's charisma?

Lol @ how he of all people turned out to be the most human

The lack of mommy issues is surprising. And the "break next week" feels like a punchline to knowing the next chapter is just going to be Kyou's back-back-backstory.
And like somebody said in a previous thread, there will likely be a sixth chapter about how Shun's original sin was being weak and turning a blind eye to all this.
