man, i wrote my last comment on here 5 years ago and no joke, this manga destroyed my ability to enjoy this authors work. Such a pity, as the art and mood are great, but now I'm constantly worried we will find out
it was all a dream
. I had to drop the rating to 3/10 , even though I had it at 8/10 before. So sad.

The story does stay true to the authors other works in as much as anything other than inevitable relationships don't materialise. Here there were two girls vying for the protagonist and one of them gets ruled out near the end.
So many open mysteries suggest there may have been more planned: Just who is Shiro and why is she so well known (and later proves to be so influential)? Who really was the guy that looked like her? What of the girl in the airship who seems to owe Shiro a huge debt of gratitude?
Anyway, another gentle story to calm the reader and take them away from lifes realities. Escapism reading.

Arguing with myself about how I feel about this series. Leaves the impression that:
yeah, it should stayed a one shot
Eh... dunno really. As much as I did enjoy the series, that hazy and ephemeral nostalgic vibe of YKK, Cub feels like just throwing ideas without any regard for the story itself.
With how it does end, feels more like dude got finally tired, slapped 2-3 chapters to meet quota and said to self: "will do".
It's like polar opposite of series getting axed - it was allowed to slow down, mellow up and eventually just rot.
