If this is like any of the prior arcs, something will go horribly wrong at the competition, an insurmountable mutation will occur, the new summoning software will be the vector to resolve it, and we'll finally get to see Kana-chi's second form when she opens her guitarbroom case to kick some kaii ass.

Jury's still out on how Midorikawa and President-chan fit into it. Pretty sure we'll get to see Koshigaya threatening Midorikawa with her bat regardless of the outcome tho
