Local places aside I’d think ppl could make their own tho I was never as into the pickled veggies versus just having the meat (tho I always had to remove the extra fat off the Viet ham(?))Thank you for the chapter.
Plus, I saw Banh mi there. Haven't had one for so long.
Yup. In Vietnam, Banh mi kep thit is the name we use. Just as the name implies, we slice the bread open and put (kep) meat inside. However, what you can use is unlimited, so people also use fish, pastes, Char siu, various kinds of vegetables too.Local places aside I’d think ppl could make their own tho I was never as into the pickled veggies versus just having the meat (tho I always had to remove the extra fat off the Viet ham(?))
lol gotta love the inspiration via tuna sandwiches , I think a fish and chips
Dish (vinegar aside tho I’m not rly fond of vinegar or seafood), would be one of the most likely dishes from “our world” to be recreated even without isekai interference

So yeah, seeing a variation of food proves the unlimited power of human creativity. What's more, the more recipes out there, the more dishes you can cook. So, I guess the inspiration of new recipes is always welcome?
Good thing lord shadow wasn't born in Britian, or else he would've brought fish and chips with g**en pea. 🤮
Yup. We usually make some at home without buying at the vendor outside. And it's just meat, omlette, or whatever we have. But, the sauce is another matter that make Banh mi so great.Yes I know I’m Viet too I just always just had meat(tho I always just had the sliced cucumbers at home since even if it’s not that strong I don’t like pickles xP), even without the “cilantro soap” gene I don’t rly have it too often, some taco places have it on the side tho the leaves in that don’t have a strong taste to me tho I don’t rly eat the stems
If you mean the mayo/Viet “butter” I was never fond of that either , even tho my parents call it butter I would prolly just use regular butter maybe I’m just too picky, tho I was never fond of mayo, despite it being made from eggs which I like but mayo is usually with vinegar,Yup. Yup. There is no limit to Vietnamese Banh mi. So just add what you like!If you mean the mayo/Viet “butter” I was never fond of that either , even tho my parents call it butter I would prolly just use regular butter maybe I’m just too picky, tho I was never fond of mayo, despite it being made from eggs which I like but mayo is usually with vinegar,
I hear there isn’t for Viet mayo yet it still isn’t that appealing, maybe if it was a homemade egg sauce or Hollandaise but I guess it’s lightly less calories too, i
Have seen one store that had a fried egg option when we visited but parents didn’t order it tho I suppose it’s not too much of a pain to fry an egg to add it later tho my bro went to a diff place where the meat was grilled versus the sliced ham and it was alright if a bit red (I don’t think it’s super raw or anything but while I know fat adds flavor to stuff it ends up being too stringy for me to also just peel off some of it)
