There's an android game called "The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden" where it basically explore some part of the story including how shadow garden was built.

I think the game does a ok job with presentation when compared to the manga since it's all voice acted and some of the CGs and animations are pretty badass. Not the biggest fan of the art style either. If you aren't playing the game, you are definitely missing out cause there are some really fun gaiden stories like highest dream which is a sorta a reverse Isekai with shadow garden in a Japanese high school, masquerade that fleshes out what Claire is doing when Cid goes to [redacted] after the Orianna arc, and of course apocrypha which is 100 percent non-cannon but has some really interesting storytelling regardless.

Honestly, as a person who have only read main manga, no novel, game or anime, I find this one very lacking. It failed to deliver any decent joke and story feels just lukewarm, no stakes, no intrigue, no interesting exploration of characters.
So I am dropping this. Good luck for more persistent people. If you will find it worthwhile after ending, tell me to pick it back up.
