All right, that was cool. Offing the entire team in 2 pages was already cool, it avoided an annoying shonen trope of introducing new fighting teams all at once that can be tedious af. But now bringing this guy back is even more out of the box thinking. This guy can write (sometimes).

Worthless Commander Ikuto Hagiwara lost his entire squad. He didn’t lose 20% of his squad. He didn’t even lose 50%. He lost his whole squad. Look at what it’s done to him. You can see the death in his eyes, but he keeps on going. This is why Ikuto Hagiwara is one of my favorite characters.
