Hmm. If Iino thought that Shirogane's poem was about gum, that implies she writes poems about more mundane things and makes them seem more fantastical through prose.

Looking at her two poems with this in mind, her first poem might simply be about a comet adrift in space. The second poem I'm still somewhat lost on.
