I know this is an extremely het manga, to the point that any actual yuri is impossible. Still, why ust there be so much bait?

"In contrast, a 2023 Ipsos global survey reported that Japan had the lowest rates of LGBTQ+ identification among 30 countries surveyed, with less than 1% identifying as gay or lesbian and 1% as bisexual."
An extract from Ipsos.
If we assume that to be the case, then the chances that any of the main, secondary or even tertiary characters are LGBTQI is quite low. So it's not surprising that there aren't any such couplings in the manga. Generally, authors want to avoid over-saturating their stories with ethnic and cultural minorities, as the work becomes contrived and the relationships lose some of their credence.
As for the 'bait', I believe that's just fan service. People tend to find fascination and arousal at the idea of same-sex intimacy of the opposite gender.
