Ahaha... this is getting too unrealistic for unnecessary drama. In all documented history, there has never been a financial, political or governmental war that even comes close to what they're describing. Even in the 2008 global financial crisis, very few CEO's were laid off, and most resigned, even fewer were arrested. The possibility of this happening is very low, as it would destabilise all contemporary economics, and invoke such a severe wide-scale repercussion, it would take decades to fix the damage.
The way corporate conflict is sensationalised here makes me sick. I get that it's a comedy, but this isn't a joke, things can really go horribly wrong and hurt so, so many people. But this kind of catastrophe would be so devastating, countries would be decimated. (granted many chapters ago the financial prowess of the shoji group was only 1 trillion yen, compared to todays standard, that's very small, so I don't know how there could be so many CEO's...) It's all so fantastical.
