Yeah, the doctor has been portrayed as sympathetic; his motives for getting the belt even seem fairly pure. If it has some sort of enhancing effect, shouldn't that be shared with humanity? Shouldn't that be examined for the betterment of all?

Which is why I lean towards a charitable reading of his actions. He didn't realize that he has given her no identity other than stealing the belt, because he's come to value her for more than that. It's not like he's done with her now, she just doesn't have to do anything anymore. He's missed how much meaning she's gained from all the things she's done and how much she's grown in her journey. Also, that she's like... into the hero now.

So far, there's only one actual monster in this series: Dan. Which is why he looks like one.

The real monster was a human all along!!!

The doc also has a significan knowledge gap when it comes to love and romance. Theres a very good chance he just isnt self aware about his own love for Mira.

Big implications actually.

1. Mira is aware of moral choice and now practicing it, even if it hurts her.
2. She has moved past her basic programming as just the doctor's tool for the belt.
3. She's interested in people, or the hero in general. I fear that this is where things may unfortunately fall into generic tropes again as she falls in love or whatever.

idk I just don't feel that satisfied with how things are swept around this fast when it should be a pretty big and dramatic process. Guess that's how they've always done things, though.

Ngl I didn't want this to happen so fast.
I would've liked it better if this time she got to knew the consequences of her actions.
Like the evil from Haru's household awakening now and no one left to protect the city - doctor being evil (a stretch tho) but that would've kinda killed her growing as a human part. So, oh well.
