Called Konoe's return about 4-odd chapters back. while it would have made for a far more surreal and better story, had she been left dead, to show genuine consequence... We are now dealing with a "Shadow Government" who is not above kidnapping from hospitals to ensure "That all the cards of power remain in their hands".

Long -n- Short, Konoe had too much real-world, first-hand experience fighting the Kaiju and surviving. This Order of Majesty or whatever would have snatched her up and faked her death by chapter 100 regardless.

To be fair this bullshit was being slowly foreshadowed for a long time starting with some humans having psychic power connected to the Kaiju

The reality is that in retrospect there was a lot of signs it was going in this direction instead of really treating Kaiju as just animals, go and reread the entire series and you'll realize it's true, we simply hoped it wouldn't go in this direction even though it slowly dipped more and more into it

The psychic powers was somewhat still believable, because the story at that point was still presenting the kaijus as simply creatures. It wasnt unreasonable to assume that they were ancient animals from the era of dinosaurs (maybe older) that evolved and lived separately from humans until recently, and the psychic connections was the one bit of fantasy among the closely real elements of the story.

Aaaaaand we suddenly get gravity defying manta rays and interdimensional visitors.

I mean it was always in the title. I was honestly surprised at how mundane it was for years.

To be fair it's quite possible she did die or was going to die and only got saved cause of some Order of Majesty bullshit lol

Honestly? 50/50 chance she either got psychic power or is like superhuman now, mark my words lol

If yes she might also be the one who defeat the aliens because of that, I mean, she'll probably defeat them anyway but even more so if she's not baseline human anymore

maybe? reviving the dead seems a bit far, even for this though.
