I'd say especially, because the last story, Sex and Dungeon was essentially a more safe for work hentai where rape was made okay, but the interesting thing is that the author of this was not the original author of that story, and the WN of that, (unless things changed) was in the high seas and its story was meandering and aimless, adding even more girls with no end in sight.....
While in the manga adaptation at least it was salvaged, given a proper pace, goals and the girl number didn't just arbitrarily increase.

So yeah I think, left to its own devices, the author can find a good compromise between the lewd and the story. Honestly to me this is more compelling than something that has tons of fan service but where it all feel so impersonal and detached and doesn't really connect to the characters, it seems to exist solely for the viewer, if you know what I mean.
