So, you gotta decide whether to dedicate your life to saving others while looking crazy or ignore it and live a life full of guilt, but don't let it get to you, okay?

i mean unless you get some kinda training to either save ppl physically with strength or like doctor/nurse knowledge to treat ppl's wounds/trustworthy job if not join the JP equivalent of CIA/FBI or so, it'd be very heard for an average person to believe you, if not being approached by an unknown stranger and being told 'you're going to die' and not freak out/interpret it as a threat esp if you only 'know it might be coming' as opposed to having some power to neutralize it (tho i wonder if the sound would still produce if she snapped and purposefully decided to kill ppl/other ppl would be able to hear sound coming from her/approaching) but yeah sucks that it couldn't have been a better ending

her brother really should've kept her by her side unless it ended up like "i hear the beating coming from the taxi driver" dying from a heart attack and them in a car accident anyways
On the bright side, she won’t live her life full of guilt anymore
wonder how the coworker is gonna explain it to her brother unless it's like "She freaked out yelling about a sound and ran to help someone" and maybe stage another thing to where he can show both bodies or something like that but i guess we won't see a part 3

With the benefit of hindsight I feel like I really should've picked up on the girl's older brother being the murder journalist's boss. His shirt choices are not exactly subtle, and the sister mentioned he worked at an occult magazine in the previous chapter.

So the girl from these chapters was traumatized by seeing the old man fall from the balcony in chapter 3, and ended up getting got by the serial killer who killed the hoarder author in chapters 4 and 5. That effectively ties together chapters 3 through 7, but at a quick glance there's nothing obviously tying the first two chapters into the rest of them. Maybe we're due for a return of ghost-seeing blind girl and the negligent bunny owner.

Edit: Actually, wait a second. I re-read the first few chapters and is the dude who bunny girl had a crush on in chapter 2 the murderer? The dude in the chapter 2 flashback's got a similar hairstyle, and even specifies that his place is a bit messy when he invites her over, but she declines out of a sense of obligation to her ill-fated bunny. They look similar enough that it could be a young murder journalist with dyed hair. That'd tie chapter 2 into the overarching plot we've got going.

There's also a mystery boyfriend in chapter 1 that appears on a single page, but there's only one panel showing his face. But now I am suspicious of him in a way that I was not when I thought this was a series of standalone vignettes.

It's like a metal detector, you can do the cross technique to pinpoint a place, but since you don't want to die it'd be wiser to go in the opposite direction.

Or just don't give a fuck unless it's you the one in mortal danger. It's surprising how easy it is to get used to something, just give it time.

I remember seeing a murder mystery author lay out his process. It looked like this crisscrossing web of arcs dipping in and out. He would point to a dot where they intersected and go "yup, so that'll be act 2" or draw a line running down and say "and that'll be from the fiancee's perspective". This feels like that.
