Nana was quite unreasonable. I get it she wanted to continue together with the dude in the gymnastics club, but the truth is there was no room for him there. If he had had real talent, they wouldn't have bullied and kicked him out, so he must have been mediocre at best. It would be quite cruel to force him to remain there under such circumstances, knowing he would never amount to much. If he instead finds some other sport (or the other sport find him, as it happened), it would be much better to try again there. Nana should calm down and do a selfishness check.
