It's not even a reasoning, it's just an additional action. "I want to keep Haruki all to myself... for all eternity... that's it... I'll turn Haruki into a woman too (as well). That way she can't live without my help."
By turning her boyfriend into a girl, she not only keeps him to herself but ensures he's got nowhere to go as "she" doesn't legally exist.
