a group of four girls ride a train to Kisaragi station and then are trapped in another world town, I remember that one is more light-hearted, one chapter they try to buy something in a submerged convenience store guarded by a sea-creature, they think the creature is attacking them while it just wants them to pay for the goods they bought.

Definitely reminded me of that one in the first half, the girls even have those animal charms and if I remember correctly the girls in Strange and Mysterious Daily Tales have animal motifs in their names (man I hope it gets picked up again). Though the second half is going in a different direction.
