I'm leaning more towards a family or personal rule where she doesn't want to or can't show her real hair unless it's to her lover/husband, for whatever cryptic reason.

Also, Hayasaka is the best character in this story hands down.

Based, we got the usual trope of the knot coming undone, but this time it was for a hairnet/swimcap thingy. 11/10 subtle genre subversion

Now I'm sure of it, Hayasaka has a thing for her young master Ono. Too bad he's still pretty uncultured. Michinaga and Hochira don't even look like they're classmates, let alone the same age... but I don't remember Hochira being this short.

Tatsuki's doing better than a lot of romcom protags, and all he needed was one push to invite his crush to go boating with him. And he actually even noticed she didn't want to be seen with her head uncovered. I don't think "insensitive bastard" is a label I'll ever use to describe him.

I'm gonna assume she probably has unnatural hair for a japanese girl, maybe very curly or something, and got made fun of as a kid so now she hides it. Bald theory's #1 in my heart though.

Me too, raws are on at least volume 2 and probably going on volume 3 by now so it'd be nice to see this come back sometime
