Oh... So his abuse of a child was because of being abused as a child himself? I guess that's the only way to make his character at least somewhat sympathetic. But still, given what he's done, I do hope it won't get glossed over or "forgiven". Really wonder how this is going to develop further

I really like how complex this story is. it's fascinating and heartbreaking all at the same time. kyosuke was groomed from a young age it seems, and passed on this trauma and abuse onto the kid? and/or maybe it was because he developed a twisted obsession with akitaka since he definitely seems very "yandere". I feel bad for him, sure, but at the same time I hope that he is not forgiven or finds some sort of comeuppance. it definitely seems that, despite akitaka's compassionate and benevolent nature, the author is not trying to romanticise kyosuke's abuse and manipulation of him and won't have a happy ending, so I have high hopes. 😊
