once the MC defeat that guy and breaks the enchantment, they can finally say "all that sex happened against our will, that guy is a fucking loser" which isn't as satisfying as shield hero, which this copied poorly

There’s no mention of him having legitimate mind control though? His power just captivates them physically, which is messed up yes but it doesn’t erase their emotions or force them to do anything — they still loved Toru but chose to give in to their desires (fake or not), and became mind broken to the point they were the “hero”’s slaves.

That’s how I took it anyway. He effectively just gave them targeted aphrodisiacs, and it forced their bodies to want him, but they still had full agency and CHOSE to give in.
