feels like authors have a lot more trouble writing compelling development that would stem more from within the characters / relationship, or with relatively minor outside influences, so instead they tend to opt for various external factors and tropes with the subtlety of a wrecking ball

only reason I can think of anyways, because more often than not it's just some degree of annoying

I know kyousuke keeps going back and forth but hes going forward more with his feelings about rui and himself. Good thing he remembered kurumiswords and also accepted that its rui who will decide who she wants not someone else and he can be there for her. i am liking his progression and hes such a softy.
Also rui showing so much expressions and being open to him, enjoying kyousukes different sides.
Ofcourse we had to dial it down to more drama after all the fluff. Itsukis planning divorce shit after all the good things he said to kyousuke to support him in previous chapters. Was he talking to one of the parents i guess?
Also itsuki mentioned even if it was him rui wouldnt marry him, so he knows he has no chance but still wants to see rui happy so hes gonna do this? Also the parents kinda forced his hand too so i assume parents are gonna be the final antagonist to their marriage.
Bracing myself for whats coming next.
Also love the chibi panels of rui looking at kyousuke. Cute af

Eh, I still think the comedy tag is somewhat appropriate as I laughed a little bit during this chapter....but dang does our guy need to grow a pair. His moping is getting out of hand. Hopefully what he said to himself at the end of the chapter holds true and he actually starts acting on it.

Also, it seems like Itsuki is going to do the wrong thing. And even if he does get the two of them to divorce (which is what Rui wants to do anyway) she most likely won't end up with him anyway. From what it seems she does not see him in any romantic light whatsoever and that will most likely not change. The only thing that would change it is her parents forcing her to marry him. Also, the fact he is still in contact with her parents after they dated for 2 months is a little...I don't even know.
