get the metaphor for herbivore and 'beastmen'/kemonomimi but considering that they still look mostly human and communicate surprised they wouldn't avoid killing and eating the races if not striking up a deal like having protectors if this was based on a bigger city/village but i wonder if it's an outlier for them to be in love lol if he's usually considered 'prey'
be interesting if there were actually some females in this story/universe that has some hybrid children too
