I wonder if it would make a difference if he named his sword.

In other titles, naming familiars makes them obedient to their masters. I wonder if the same thing would work, on top of the blood? Redundant, maybe. But considering the Kingdom's wariness against intelligent weapons, it might help things.

The usual "sacrifice yourself while telling others to flee, but they return and help out and if they didn't you'd die" trope. It's not noble. It's a lack of trust.

Thats not a cerberus, its a hydra, why do authors do this
One, lack of research, two, they want to be "original" and create a variant of whatever they thought of first, or three, they want to be original and create a variant of whatever they thought of first but due to lack of research they ended up creating something much closer to something else instead.

Yeah, shelf the platinum-ranked magic user with unlimited mana during the boss fight, great idea dude.

A convenient way to test the new sword.

Nice teamwork. I love that Noelia didn't just obediently flee while the man of her dreams risked his life like a fool; she did her best to help, no damsel-in-distress here. The story established her to be a strong and competent mage and here she's demonstrating some of that. Bad writing would've had her not do anything at all despite her credentials as a mage. Rather than Noelia, it's Flick who deserves a scolding for trying to send her away like some helpless child when she was able to help them just fine.

Wait a minute, did Dimole just say "Yes"...?!

Flick has zero situational awareness. The idiot blacksmith was shot down by the hydra, Flick jumps down to look for him, but then is totally "huh?" surprised when the hydra appears behind his back. He's such an amateur fighter. He should stay away from danger, for his own safety.

Also, the sword talks too much. Annoyingly much. A sentient weapon should only talk when necessary, like a weapon, unless it's actually the MC, like in the Fran manga (Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita).
