This was a very adorable one-shot, and was very refreshing to have this take place in a stylized approximate mid-20th Century, post-World War II 1950's after having spent the last few years in a fantasy medieval period world with Female Knight and the Kemonomimi Child. Speaking of which, the painting in page 9 is a very neat Easter Egg to that series.
I though it was very neat that Viola's prosthetic arms were similar looking to Edward Elric's Automail arm in how Steampunk aesthetic they were.

The twist at the end on how Viola knew about Al and his family beforehand was very cool as well.

The reveal of the last page is that Viola knew Al and his mother beforehand because she was hospitalized at the same time as Al's mother was being treated for her eventual-fatal illness. She was re-inspired to take back up painting again because of Al's bouquet art & wanted to pay back her presumed-friendship with Al's mother by adopting him after she had passed away and re-inspire him back to not give up his artist path.

well, the author themself tagged it as 'oneshota' / 'couple with huge physical difference' in their pixiv. it's just the way it is with shota and loli manga. a lot of times it's hard for authors to make it explicit because it's.. well. difficult lmao (the kid has to grow up and they don't want to get there, the story isn't interested in being too realistic, etc), or they tag it as something they feel like it serves the audience for (in this case) oneshota, because a lot of stories are supposed to give only the "vibes" and the "moe" of it (think the kid sleeping with the onee-san only in bra&panties), but for people who aren't in on it, it's just a mother/child thing.
