This is really neat, because there are times in story writing or game developing where you make an “incomplete” character that simply serves to complete a purpose in the story without needing to have a fleshed out background. For fanfiction authors, this leaves an opening for them to fill in the details of the unfinished character and give them a new role. It’s an exploit for Qianqiu, but it still makes the “main story” more interesting.

The incomplete character is probably just some cut content for the game, where the model is already existed somewhere in the files but is not used in the final release of the game

It's actually horrifying, the idea of a normal cultivation novel character noticing their "incomplete" world. It struck at cosmic to existential horror perfectly. Incomplete houses and so on are one thing but then finding an "incomplete person". What would that look like? A husk apparently... Maybe the creator put names into the sect scroll or whatever but didn't actually create all of their models....
