flashback/more of a backstory is nice, seems he had issues from before his memory loss. idk if looking out in the ocean by himself is a suicidal thing but he does seem lost/'needed' another person so hopefully the MC doesn't pretend like their relationship never happened (not sure how private they were about it but if someone else knew about them dating and offhandedly mentioning it, it would be quite an issue)
