"If you want peace prepare for war"
It's a pretty old saying that's kinda self explanatory. If you want to maintain peace, you might as well need to enforce it. After all, a desire for peace is a pretty selfish wish as it is something that affects a ton of fucking people, between them those who may NOT want peace.
So, the inevitability here is that most wars end on surrender or complete slaughter of one of the parts. The situations where they actually come to an agreement are not only too little to compare and call it a standard process, but also kinda recent. I say this coming from a country that just "made peace" after a 50+ years war, and that now has a government that wants to boicot it.
Honestly, fuck those guys.
