He's clueless
I don't like how he keeps screaming at her whenever she does something he doesn't like. That can cause people with PTSD to have panic attacks, among other things, which it would be quite plausible that she suffers from, being a former slave. He oughta know that's not healthy, being an aspiring doctor and all.
