A lot of times that happens. Look at Katekyou Hitman Reborn. The mangaka isn't the best at the female characters but makes amazing male characters. Yano Taboso is amazing at the male characters that are popular. Once, a fujoshi said in an interview (it was an interview about gay men in Japan being okay with fujoshis) that she likes BL because it feels like the male characters are able to be "equal" and there isn't much social hierarchy compared to women.

Also he was literally the one who set up the whole kidnapping and rape. He did plenty of things wrong.
He also assaulted completely innocent guy, to the point of endangering his sport career, just because he was jealous.

Only feel sorry for Narumi that he fell in love with a wrong person.

But going so far to hire rapists and join in the rape train, since others were too tired, so Ichika would be 100% scarred for life as Kanae wanted is going way, way too far.
There's limits to be blinded by love and he crossed the line, deserve time in juvenile not only for the assault but also for the rape.

Should confessed to Kanae and the whole thing might just not happened...

Guessing that during the time in juvenile, Narumi will spill the beans about what Kanae did and it will go public, leading to what happened in ch1.
