Kenichi was good when it was 90% about Kenichi training non-stop and finding ways to apply that training and 10% badass beatdowns. You could tell it got visibly worse towards the end when Kenichi was already "too good" for regular martial arts and Matsuena had to invent (or at least actively involve, instead of throwing it around in a more abstract context) ki and ki attacks and more supernatural stuff in general. This series started rooted out in the absurd and it only gets absurd-ier. I'm going to keep following it just to see where he's going to take the MC now- plus since he's at least not afraid to touch a weapon maybe we'll get to see him get some sword training.
