This chapter reminds me of this one time when I was at the cafeteria of a university that I was at for a program, right after I met a roommate. They started the conversation by saying, "nice cafeteria, huh." I didn't know what to respond, so I just thought over every possible thing I could say about the cafeteria. It came to me that the architectural style of the cafeteria reminds me of something I read. Because of that, somehow, I decided that it would be a good idea to do a Google search, then say, "yeah. Apparently this style of architecture was pioneered in the 1980s by Tadao Ando, which explains all the holes in the concrete! Cool."
They were like, "mmm hmm. Interesting." I was like, "yeah; pretty neat." And then things became awkward for a while. Then, to top my idiocy off, I started reading off wikipedia just to keep the conversation going. I learned a lot about Ando dots, concrete tie holes, and brutalist architecture that day...
That aside, seeing Kozuru hold these buns with her sleeves killed a part of me. These things need to be put in bags...
These two haven't even learned to be friends, and they're already having romantic feelings for each other. Those poor souls.
