I have a theory and also my intuition is telling me the culprit is very close to both the girl and now officially his boyfriend, we had saw that whoever it is is good thinkering with computers/hacking and the only chara so far we had seen with these particular set of skills is ironically her other childhood friend (I don't rememeber her name but the one that she asked to see if she found info on who was sending the messages), she could easily hack into the phones, gave the suggestions to the gamer sister, and affect thier family through her, and even get the info of Yotsuha sickness from either the hospitals computer or her brother computer or mobile (as he is now his guardian and he probably has received all this info)

The only thing that I am missing is why...? and the only conclusion I had reached is that her close friend was in love with yotsuha, but I feel like there is still something missing... why does she hate Uichi so much as it always seemed she was in good terms with uichi too and also she was the one who pushed him to confess to Yotsuha when they were kinds so if feels weird that now she was making his life hell... but I have no other idea it could be a new chara that is still not known in the story but... I have this gut feeling that she is the mastermind... but I really want to be wrong as I really like her

That what the author want you to think. I feel like he definitely not the mastermind
The watch wasn’t thrown as the letter suggest but in his hand instead, why go though all the trouble showing your face now if he is the mastermind
Not to mention he still willingly met Yotsu, if he a mastermind, this would cause too much issue for him when his goal haven’t accomplished

Rikka also apparently said she actually had second thoughts about following the letter after coming to terms with how she feels about Uichi and Yotsuba. So she no longer has any desire to fulfill Clover’s schemes and gives the watch to Mitsuba thinking he will give it back to Yotsuba.
