Being a war reporter is such a shitty job. I'm career infantry so it's not like I haven't chosen to voluntarily go to war but going to war without a weapon is just silly. The war reporter/correspondents I met in the service mostly never left the base. The few who did go out on patrols with us were all massive weirdos.

He should give up and come up with a safer and better dream. Like being a photographer for Hustler.
