On page 15, it says "one year ago" was when the mirror was broken. This must be a mistake, as the other housekeeper lady says that it was before she started working, and she's been working there at least 18 years. Also, in the flashback, the lady who's telling the story is much younger.
Oh, and then a few pages later she outright says it was 19 years ago, so it's definitely some sort of mistake to say one year ago.
