For some reason I've always had a great enjoyment out of stories where the protagonist settles somewhere and a town/city/country develops from that set of actions; I especially enjoy it when the protagonist is either active in the kingdom building or like, super passive ("how did this castle appear?!" "idk man I was just chillin and then it popped up")
I know we can't watch a civilization grow from its beginnings (or even maintain itself based on the utter nonsense humanity has been through) so it's just real nice to see how a civilization might have grown in one situation or another
EDIT: oh! and that includes stories where mc is dropped in charge of some hugely terrible place n improves it

It's not available in here, try read this on viz. @HelloHound

It's about alternate story if medieval Jap get a strange disease that only affecting male, so almost all males in the country wiped out. Woman replacing Man's job for manual labor and, Man become a peacock or something precious that must be protected. Eventually the emperor is a woman too and she get a lot of male harems in her palace.

The story has multiple MC telling a journey of a kingdom but connecting each other. Each MC has their own problem like internal politic war, how to get rid of famine, how to introduce a hygenic habits & medicine in the country, how to prevent the news of male become rare so another countries will not attack, plus telling the internal politic struggle between the male harem in the chamber rooms. It's pretty intense though
