Huh, this Akuma Shogun really contradicts how he was portrayed in the original series. In that, the twist at the end was that Akuma Shogun WAS the Gold Mask, not that he was trying to steal it. The portrayal also completely ignores the respect he gained for them at the end of the arc when he chose to voluntarily just become the mask again. I wonder if there's a reason for that, or if Yudetamago just forgot. If that is the case, at least
they eventually remembered and redeemed the character in the 2011 revival series.
