Simple pleasures. I keep expecting some over arching big upheaval or conflict but I need to remember this has a slice of life tag, no need for higher stakes.

...I hate to say this, but it's not sericite, but the homophone cerussite...aka lead carbonate, which used to be used in makeup and paint before we realized how toxic it is.

Girl gonna die, but the corpse will be pretty... ¬_¬

First time I've seen a Disney Princess use her powers to have woodland animals gather makeup for her.

Usually they just help with the sewing.

She wants the Dee :meguusmug:

You'd be surprised how many products contain trace amounts of silver.

Not her nor the witch thought of just making a spell that removes the scar?

It's kinda funny to me that she use magic to "Create" the makeups, that also create the brush and the bottles. And then she also use magic to apply the makeups perfectly. She was really an OP character. 😂

Wait, if you can just make, make up that hides the scar, why didn't the actual witch just do that??

Was there a personal reason like "I keep the scar, so everday I wake up with fresh hatred"

but if that's it, there is no reason to cover the mirror? Or feel that insecure about your appearance?

Huh...

I honestly totally forgot about the scar.

Marietta is completely adorable, but I hope we find out what the witch has been getting up to in her body sooner rather than later. (Not asking for spoilers, just thinking)

Well, yes but also no. I was curious when a specific mineral was namedropped, so I looked it up since I'd never heard of it before. In this case, sericite apparently also has cosmetic uses and can be used in paint. It's only found those uses relatively recently, sure, but this a fantasy story. A fluffy fantasy story. Anachronisms are par for the course.

That being said, with how the author felt the need to specify that toxins were removed, you're also probably correct. How magic managed to make unleaded lead is an interesting thought exercise on its own, though. Could just be that that it extracted the concept of "white" from the material and applied it to the rest of the formulation. Whichever it is, though, either mineral works in the context of the story.

Idk if this is a joke or not but it is in fact sericite. In the raw, she says 絹雲母 (sericite) not 白鉛鉱 (cerussite).

According to a Google search, sericite is common in modern cosmetics. But I ain't a geologist.

So...does Dee also have a spell that teleports letters, or was that some sort of enchantment that allows a reply to the letter she sent?
Also, yeah, it's a good sign that he instantly replied, because that implies he didn't even bother to check his schedule or anything, he just immediately was willing to go.

She gave Dee enchanted letters in an earlier chapter after she dealt with the flooding.
