The thing making it feel long probably isn't the amount of chapters, but the fact that we got those chapters over the span of 9 months. If you include the part of this arc before the battle, it's been over a year.
Of course, I'd much rather have these slow good releases over some nitwit firing the MTL-cannons so I'm not complaining, I just assume that's what's making this feel so long.
