thanks for the chapter!!

these two are so unhinged and they're so real for that lol

also I'm now super curious about what's going on in Kirio's mind (and also who his friend, Momose, likes)

lol i think i've gotten some smaller 'freckles' throughout the year but i dont go out in the sun as much which was one cause, i wonder how many ppl tanned aside come back from summer vacation with freckles (tho once i had a mole on my thigh and i scratched it and it was gone the next day tho i imagine it's best to go to a pro if it rly bothers you to remove it)

and i can understand crushing on some 'handsome/attractive' classmate from far away but i don't think either of them are socially awkward to try to befriend him at least, unless it's basically a date when you ask for a 'hangout' even if you don' it a date versus some group thing from being in the same club/friend group , but interesting to see other ppl seeming to have a crush on him versus them being the 'odd ones/having unique taste'

also I'm now super curious about what's going on in Kirio's mind (and also who his friend, Momose, likes)

I imagine it might be a classmate they know but i half expect the plot twist of him being gay/bi but i guess blurting out/'outing' someone like that would prolly be even more of a serious thing versus them being dumb teens just not realizing tho it would be quite something if he ended up in a proper throuple(versus harem)

The main irony is that while the Japanese started speculating about yuri in the second part of the manga (the manga is published in the general josei magazine and did not have any "special" tags like yuri or BL in the same mag), people here do it in advance due to a yuri-like premise and meta-knowledge, so many things are initially interpreted in a certain way. It's a bit reminiscent of the Legend of Korra, where the showrunners marveled at how fans found hints of a final relationship back in the first two seasons, even though it wasn't decided until the second half of the show, lmao. As a result, if in Japan itself manga has the widest female audience, then in our lands it seems that its fans are mainly yuri fanboys who are reading this for sport's sake in hopes of a yuri finale.

This should have the mystery tag, shit is confusing

Thanks for the translations!
For such a surreal manga, it actually has a pretty simple ending.

So I could be totally off on any or all of this, I don’t usually read raws and definitely doubting moreso since SuperOniichan said that it has a pretty simple ending

But my interpretation of the dynamics so far (just based on the few panels that aren’t a part of the weird humor this manga is built on) it seems like:

Aimi actually likes Kirio.

Nami moreso uses it as a pretense to talk to Aimi cause it’s all she ever wants to talk about. (Never as weird about her Kirio fantasies as Aimi for one)

Now it seems like Kirio might actually like one of them too, hard to say who.

But they’re always together which either he’s interpreting as them being together, or maybe he has a history with one of them and finds it hard to approach them anymore.

OR maybe Nami is the one who actually has a history with him which is why her fantasies are less insane, maybe they dated for a bit

AND/OR maybe what she was about to say is Kirio actually likes men lol or specifically one of the male friends

Or they both just actually like him and maybe him actually liking one of them is another joke setup, i don’t know man I’m just speculating here.

The ending itself is really simple. Or rather, not difficult to understand. But this does not mean that there is no plot development and some intrigues or twists. But obviously I can't say anything because of spoilers and because I'm retelling other people's reviews, not mine. All I can say is that this story makes sense and many Japanese people praised it for that.

Im Fine with them having a good friendship in the end like ten years later them still staying in touch and like “being love rivals sure was fun, huh?” And both of them having husbands not similar to Kirio-kun at all , but yeah if it’s in a magazine that specifically doesn’t have too much bl/gl versus twitter comments where the author would see, I can imagine even there not being any side couples or so

I do remember this one shot that wasn’t rly comedy about two girls crushing on the same guy and simultaneously rejected when they found out he was dating someone else and they went some where far away by train and to the ocean and comforted each other tho I don’t think it was a yuri end either versus just deepening their existing friendship

Well, it's a josei mag, so anything is possible. BL and yuri are their second most popular type of work after regular romance. But given that despite such openness, the manga never had any additional tags, I always thought that this was done either for intrigue in the case of yuri (like in G-Witch for example), or the ending would be about something else. So I myself am interested in how this will end.

I've already been told some spoilers about the ending, but I didn't ask in detail.

What surprised me was that around 2 weeks ago, someone messaged me on myanimelist asking about the ending of this manga and also the clarification about the yuri stuff.

I don't know how that person knew that I had finished reading this manga.
I mean, I do updated my myanimelist database all the time, but I never write reviews or post about it.
In fact, I never write manga reviews at all.
It was kind sweet but also bizarre, since It was so out of nowhere, really.

Apparently this is due to the fact that you were a rare person who read this manga. Because for some reason it attracted a lot of yuri fans in the western animanga community as a potential yuri. But few people have information about how it ends. For example, I had to read 3 pages of Japanese reviews to find just a couple of spoilers. So this greatly increases the intrigue among those who read this or want to watch the anime in the future.

This manga taught me, through its comment section, that Yuri is a form of severe brainrot. I always thought "Yurishitter" term was kind of harsh, but now I 100% get it.
