Not going to lie, I didn't think that this was the direction that the author was going to take with the MC's relationship. Seems weird to have them break up so suddenly when every single interaction between him and his girlfriend was them trying to overcome the obstacles holding back their relationship. I mean, it's justified given the dad's actions but it just feels like it makes the relationship up to this point meaningless narrative-wise. And, we didn't even get a drawn reaction from the girlfriend - only a screenshot of a message. Did the artist just get tired of drawing the girlfriend? 😅
