If I'm not mistaken, some foodstuffs (sometimes rice in some countries) are fortified to prevent diseases like that. That is to say, they add vitamins (like B1 with Thiamine) during processing specifically because of that. Another common example is addition of vitamin C to food that modern sailors use or more variable diet on the ships to avoid scurvy.... Huh this is a thing? Didn't know before. Kind like my normal everyday diets...
I do spice it with veggies sometimes tho so, probably good enough for missing nutrition. Right?
