Knights - Vol. 5 Ch. 24.5 - Epilogue:

So this has been a pretty fun series, the action has been great(really love how the characters call out there attacks names in German and Italian), and the main characters are pretty compelling. Mist is a soild mc with him just wanting to help people but also be accepted by his peers. I also like how his arc dose ultimately parallel his fathers in hindsight but still taking the better route. Euperhia(probably not spelling her name right) is best girl, she’s a ride or die type of homie and I honestly love her compassion for people even with the terrible things she’s gone through but still won’t hesitate to stand up for other or put her hands on you(looking at you Nina). Leo’s also fun his just a chill dude looking out for ladies. I also like how he just takes strays in on the side. Granted I do think he could have gotten a bit more screen time.
That all being said The series is by no means perfect, the pacing is bit to fast and dosen’t give enough room for some characters to breath(looking at you Leo) I also think some relationships could have been worked on like sir William and mist, I would have never guessed bro was essentially mist’s adoptive father with how they’ve interacted. Same with Leo and eupheria relationship kinda just happens like there could have been more build up besdies the haha funny horny gag between them. I also kinda had some problems with Nina’s character with the hole(I can only have you shit) but with how they’ve interacted final volume turned out I can kinda let it slide. The villains in the story are also kinda undercooked with only mists dad and the king to a degree really having any kind of character. There’s also the whole slave gag which honestly could have been handled a whole lot better(or just not at all). And the depiction of black people could honestly be better.
That all being said I again still enjoyed the series, it’s pretty short and it’s a raiety in the fact that the MC is just straight up black which as a black guy myself is pretty awesome to see myself in this medium plus it actually finished(granted it was rushed but it’s better then being axed like blaster knuckle). Overall I’d give this series a 6.5/10(slightly above average)
