Can anyone explain the beginning of this chapter with "Johnny" to me? Is that horse supposed to represent time passing/life itself? That's the only explanation that makes sense to me with the "towards a dark abyss" and "only passed to the next generation by myths" stuff.

Edit: Ok at the end the mangaka explains in the interview that Johnny is supposed to represent Love.
