I really like the way this manga shows her leading an actual life. Not everything revolves around the love story. If anything the love story is incidental (I mean that in terms of how the characters might see it from within the narrative, not the way the narrative is presented to us as readers.)
And even when it comes to the romance it's not overdramatized. The way it takes days or weeks between dates (guess what? Whirlwind romances are pretty rare. Usually it does take time.)
And the way the two guys' 'rivalry' is depicted feels natural. It's not like the evil suave foreign man is stealing her away all NTR style. It's just a couple of good buds who turned out to like the same girl and one of them is too repressed to say so. Happens all the time. It gets awkward, but people usually work it out and no one gets mind broken.
