She should not be able to even speak well if she lacks lips, yet that does not seem to be a thing here.

I noticed that her teeth have become less and less realistically horrifying as the chaps go.

They are now basically just cute little doodle decorations on top of her mouth.

Horie Ryuu has forgotten that the older sister is missing two teeth in most panels. The funny thing is that they're not even neighboring teeth, so the position matters. I simply would not have used that character design, personally. I think "her nose and lower face have been torn off" is a bold enough design element, having her missing two teeth you always need to remember both to omit and where they belong in the mouth is just making your life harder as an artist.
