In real life, with humans interacting with each other and such, suggesting someone is “trapping” someone by dressing a certain way is offensive.
No it isn't: you're just mindlessly repeating the lies of a certain political bloc. The same bloc that thinks all children should be taken to drag shows, something that horrifies most drag queens.

"Trap" originated on 4chan, where, back in the 'Aughts, and especially on /b/, anons would post, one at a time, several minutes apart, pics from a set of a woman. Other anons would post betting whether it was a woman or an MtF, until... The Reveal. (It should be noted that the porn stills back then usually were ordered in such a way that The Reveal would be towards the end, lending themselves to this kind of posting.)

And somewhere in the middle of this build-up, one of the most popular memes to post was... the GIF of Admiral Ackbar saying, "It's a trap!", which is where the slang term for crossdressers and pre- or non-bottom surgery MtF came from.

The Reveal would, of course, explode the thread, evenly divided between the "Awww YEAH!" and the "F--king degenerates!" contingents, along with a smattering of connoisseurs typing, "Umm, meh, not that convincing" posters, and many lulz and bantz would be produced.

So it was all about a bunch of anons amusing themselves, and never had anything to do with people deliberately hiding their birth sex from potential sexual partners. And everyone knows this history, even the members of the above political bloc, who pretend not to know it.

It’s slang. Must be out of date.
It's not the only thing.

Well. That sure is a series of words.
That run-on “sentence” meanders close to several subjects and lands on none.
"That sentence" is entirely about child-rearing, specifically where people get their notions about how to do it.

Also, “appeal to authority.”
If you can quote one idea I posted on the authority of Vidal (a gay man who died childless), no one would be more surprised than myself. I quoted him merely to poke fun at certain people.

I had a friend who became a channer and he went bizarre. Suddenly transphobic, misogynistic, judgemental, and just insufferable in many ways. Bragging about doxxing people he didn’t like, and other “fun” harassment activities that took place on there.
He doesn't sound like a true anon. The Rules of the Internet, ca. 2006:

Rule 1. Do not talk about /b/.
Rule 2. Do NOT talk about /b/.

The rule so nice, Anon stated it twice. The Internet is not Real Life.

“Sympathetic” ah, so you were brought into THAT social circle when in a vulnerable state? It’s implied. Could be wrong. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, you seem gross. Bye.
... To whom are you speaking here? Where did I use the word "sympathetic"?
