When I was up to chapter ~50 I thought "the reason this is so highly rated is because it painstakingly accurately depicts the experience of introversion and loneliness, and that resonates with the people that read manga online". Now that I'm finished I think I was only maybe 25% correct. This is a masterwork, art and writing both. And I'm glad he lived, too. I understand how poetic it would be to have him splayed out on the peak but there's a message to the manga no matter which angle you go with, and I'm happy it was this one.
