from any angle, you two really look like a newly married couple :meguu:

This is getting good. They went to a home store and looked at ranges. Plus, the woman was smart enough to realize that the clearance section can have some good stuff for cheap, with only small caveats like 3 burners instead of 4-5.

3's plenty for most people, honestly.

shop clerk: "ara, are you newlyweds looking for a kitchen?"

Kazukage (inner monologue): "my wife and i used to have a kitchen... but we got divorced..."
I shouldn't laugh at that but on the other hand it's the premise of the whole Manga and popped up like three times in this one chapter. It's just going to get unintentionally comedic quick.

Honestly the MC shouldn't even date or get married just yet. Bro just needs a close friend and someone he can trust again right now. Then after he's started to heal (or realized he wasn't at fault and shouldn't think like he's some terrifying bear that everyone hates) he can start thinking about finding a new romantic partner. Irl remarrying this quick after a bad divorce you're still hung up on (bad as in you were taken advantage of, emotionally traumatized, and no longer trust yourself or others and think everyone around you hates you) would be insane. If anything he should be in therapy and learning how to love himself without needing the reassure of others.

The way too elaborate message in the bento sent me, imagine if the letters got scrambled in transport and it ended up saying something completely different

He isnt looking for dates or a Marriage. He is living with Karen because he lost his Home when they Divorce came through.
Everyone else is just dumping the words "Girlfriend" and "Marriage" onto him.. which is just sad at this Point. Let the Man breathe some Air.

see that’s a a great idea and 100% realistic which is why it’ll never happen in a manga. a quick talk with a good friend who’ll obviously tell him that it’s ok to move on from his trauma and to accept the life with FMC
very true, although being stuck with yourself is also pretty realistic if you have no friends I suppose, and the memes about men avoiding therapist are unfortunately statistically pretty realistic too afaik

I actually first thought that he would be alone like that; this MC was first labelled as having trouble socializing and having a stigma of the allegations, but now he seems to have some pretty amicable relations at work, not only with a male but also a female co-worker..?

Kind of begs the question how he would be that stuck with his own thoughts when he seems to also interact daily with people that clearly know he's a good fella (and act like it)

oh well, it is what it is :aquadrink:

Unless I missed something, I think you got her confused with the gyaru from that other popular series.

Title?

I'm just waiting for the good feels that will come when his ex wife tries showing back up and sees he's with someone who's probably younger and better looking than her. I don't know what exactly will happen, but I'm sure it will be fun!

I don't think the ex-wife will give a fuck if he is happy with someone else. She already achieved her goal - falsely accused him of DV and got a free home/money out of him, cause IIRC he cascaded with his niceness and paid her compensation and stuff. EDIT: after re-reading ch1 to read the new chapters added all from same group - it seems he sold the house to be able to pay her compensation, so she waited for house being done not to get the house, but so that the dude would be able to sell it to give her the money.

Thou if her plan was to just ruin him and watch him suffer, seeing him happy and thus not ruined would indeed throw a wrench into her plans. But I don't think that was what she planned - cause she wouldn't just disappear after she got the home/money. She would be permanently around him, maybe even before divorce force him to rise the kids that weren't his, or accuse him of something that would land him in prison.

She probably was initially happy with him, just found out a better "model" and robbed MC of stuff for easier transition to new relationship. The DV accusation also give her the better look in eyes of others, cause she is "a victim that got free" not a asshole cheater who changed husband for a different one. Not sure if women that do that would care enough what happens to the one they thrown away?

Bro really need to seek professional therapist for his trauma before starting new relationship with her. Even so, his thinking for making some distance with her is quite reasonable for me.

The density is trauma reinforced castle walls thick.

Oh well, keep up the good fight missy.

To be fair, in this case it's kind of justified. His ex screamed she was scared of him, made up lies about him being abusive that everyone by default believed AND swore to it in court so a divorce was expedited. On top of that he's already got an issue being a tall and big guy in a country where that's usually not normal so people automatically assume he's a thug/dangerous. I'm glad they didn't have him get past it in a single conversation or chapter.
