Gaslit him into loving his family's killer, Haruno's plan is a success
Feels like a fairly normal chapter for once, without the usual neck-breaking mood swings. We are now in the cleanup phase of this mess after all.
"I only take things from him. I ruined his life."
Then don't ruin his life further by hesitating and taking his love lightly. Take responsibility by genuinely accepting it. And just because their families are broken by the accident doesn't mean they have to stay broken: his point is that they can pick up the pieces of their lives and build back up with a family of their own.
It's an uncanny feeling seeing all three heroines sitting around peacefully, planning a surprise for the protagonist. I shouldn't have had to feel suspicious about Chiharu suddenly dragging him into her flat, if only this wasn't such a dramatic dumpster fire... but because it is, I can't help but feel like something bad can still happen from that.
